🎯 Purpose
The purpose of this policy is to establish a fair, consistent, and transparent process for recruiting, selecting, and onboarding employees who align with TreasureLand’s mission of providing inclusive, innovative, and inspirational early childhood education.

📋 Hiring Process
Job Posting & Application
All job openings are posted internally and externally.
Applications are submitted through our designated online portal or in person.
Review & Screening
Applications are reviewed for minimum qualifications and alignment with the role.
Selected candidates may be contacted for a preliminary phone or video screening.
Interview
In-person or virtual interviews are conducted by the hiring team.
Interview questions focus on experience, qualifications, classroom management, communication, and child development knowledge.
Reference Checks
At least two professional references will be contacted before a hiring decision is made.
Background Checks & DHR Requirements
All candidates must pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting, in accordance with state and federal child care licensing requirements.
Job Offer & Onboarding
Candidates who successfully complete all steps may receive a formal offer letter.
Onboarding includes orientation, training on health/safety protocols, child abuse reporting, and TreasureLand policies.
🧾 Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age
High school diploma or GED (additional education preferred)
Experience or training in early childhood education (varies by position)
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
TB test and required immunizations
Completion of required pre-service training (per Alabama DHR regulations)
🔁 Probationary Period
All new employees are subject to a 90-day probationary period to evaluate performance, professionalism, and suitability for the role.
